What is Derbyshire County Stop Smoking Service?
We are an NHS service that offers free local support, advice and information for people who want to stop smoking.
What does it involve?
The programme involves attending weekly sessions, sometimes with other people who have also made the decision to stop smoking. Group clinics are proven to be much more effective than trying to stop on your own, but one to one support may also be arranged.
What products are available?
Several products are available, depending on your medical suitability. You may choose to use a Nicotine Replacement product, Zyban or Champix.
What happens next?
In order to maintain your success, we will arrange regular follow-up sessions. People often find these useful as they provide the opportunity to discuss their progress with others.
How do l access the service?
If you are registered with a doctor in Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) and would like to stop smoking, call us on 0800 085 22 99. Alternatively go to the web site to find out more information about local clinics and register online www.derbyshirecountystopsmokingservice.nhs.uk |
