Providing a collaborative multi-agency approach to the issues surrounding tobacco and tobacco control.
Objective 2: to promote actions that contribute to reducing the prevalence of smoking in young people.
Objective 3: to positively promote smokefree public places and workplaces by encouraging businesses, organisations and statutory bodies to achieve early compliance with comprehensive smokefree legislation.
Objective 4: to raise awareness of tobacco and its consequences to health by working closely with partner organisations, including stop smoking teams, their communications and press offices, to deliver a co-ordinated and consistant media strategy and to establish a valid and robust method of evaluating the success of media campaigns.
Objective 5: to develop and promote actions that protect individuals (particularly children and pregnant women) from the health risks caused by breathing in other people's tobacco smoke. |
