About Derbyshire Action on Smoking smokerings-small.jpg

Derbyshire Action on Smoking (DAS) has been in existence for around fifteen years and was one of the first tobacco control alliances to receive Department of Health funding. DAS was formed in order to promote collaboration between the county’s health organisations and local authorities and has been responsible for a number of effective tobacco control initiatives. Collectively the Alliance’s work in tobacco control is directed towards the goal of reducing the occurrence of ill health attributable to tobacco use and the exposure to second hand smoke.
